Macnair's Lum Reek 10 Year Old Batch 1 is a blended malt that brings together single malts from Speyside and Islay with GlenAllachie single malt. Billy Walker sourced the aged whiskies and made the final cask selection.
The blend was re-racked into Spanish sherry casks, wine barriques and virgin oak casks for secondary maturation. It was bottled at a natural cask strength of 55.4% ABV, without added colouring or chill filtration.
The nose offers smoke, heather honey, ginger, cinnamon, treacle and vanilla. The palate brings dark chocolate, ginger and citrus, with smoked spices, plantain and tannins.
