MacNair's Lum Reek 10 Year Old is a blended malt Scotch whisky, and Batch 3 is a limited edition created under master blender Billy Walker. It combines Speyside and Islay single malts, including aged GlenAllachie, setting rich fruit against gentle peat smoke.
After blending, the whisky was matured further in Spanish sherry casks, wine barriques and virgin oak casks. It is bottled at its natural cask strength of 58.7% ABV, with natural colour and without chill filtration.
The nose offers toffee brittle, chocolate-covered raisins, caramelised brown sugar, grated ginger and cigar box. The palate brings coffee, ginger, mocha, cinnamon and grilled honeycomb, and the finish is long, warm and smoky.
