MacNair's Lum Reek 12 Year Old is a peated blended malt Scotch whisky created by Billy Walker. It brings together single malts from Islay and Speyside, both peated and unpeated, with matured GlenAllachie single malt.
First-fill bourbon, Pedro Ximénez and red wine casks are used. It is bottled at 46% ABV, in natural colour and without chill-filtration.
The nose is sweet peat smoke, butterscotch, warm mocha and nutmeg. The palate brings heather honey, rich toffee and sweet spice with lingering peat. The finish is warming, spicy and smoky, with sweet malt and toffee.
