This is a 12-year-old small-batch blended malt that combines single malts from Islay and Speyside. The recipe was created by Billy Walker and includes both peated and unpeated whiskies, among them aged GlenAllachie single malt.
It was matured at the GlenAllachie distillery in first-fill Bourbon, Pedro Ximénez and red wine casks. It is bottled without added colouring or chill-filtration.
The nose is usually described as sweet peat reek, butterscotch, warming mocha and gentle nutmeg. On the palate come heather honey, rich toffee and sweet spices, with peat running underneath.
