A cask strength bourbon from Maker's Mark, made in Loretto, Kentucky, in a 70cl bottle. It uses the distillery's red winter wheat mash bill and is bottled unfiltered at full barrel proof. Strength varies by batch with the barrels chosen, from 108 to 114 proof (54 to 57%).
The nose is intense caramel and vanilla with toasted oak and a hint of cinnamon. The palate is full-bodied, with bold spice, sweet butterscotch and rich toasted wood. The warm, lingering finish brings dark fruit, clove and baking spice.
