Maker's Mark Cask Strength Made for The Brave is a Memorial Day release in tribute to men and women who serve or have served in the United States military. This is Batch 26-01, the 2026 edition, bottled at 55.25% (110.5 proof) in a 750ml bottle. The neck tag is made with POVAT, Project One Vet @ A Time, and part of the proceeds supports military charities.
It is a wheated Kentucky straight bourbon, made from corn, soft red winter wheat and malted barley, and bottled undiluted without chill filtration.
The nose offers vanilla bean, toasted oak, caramel and dark fruit. The palate is full-bodied and velvety, with dark cherry, brown sugar, baking spice, cocoa and roasted nuts, and the finish is long and warming.
