This is a single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from Maker's Mark, chosen through its Private Selection programme by the restaurant at the distillery in Loretto. It is bottled at 54.95% ABV, and the barrel yielded 252 bottles. The barrel was built to a stave profile that combines baked American Pure 2, seared French Cuvee, Maker's Mark 46 and toasted French Spice staves. It is a distillery exclusive. The nose is vanilla, honey and bright fruit. On the palate come creamy and toasted caramel, milk chocolate and almonds, and the finish brings clove, ripe fruit and orange peel with a lingering coffee note.
