This is a single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from Maker's Mark, selected through its Private Selection programme by the restaurant at the distillery in Loretto. It is bottled at 54.5% ABV, and the barrel produced 252 bottles. Its stave profile uses seared French Cuvee, Maker's Mark 46, roasted French Mendiant and toasted French Spice staves, with no baked American Pure 2. It is a distillery exclusive. The nose offers vanilla, honey and bright fruit. The palate is creamy caramel, toasted caramel, milk chocolate and almonds, followed by a finish of clove, ripe fruit and orange peel with a lingering coffee note.
