Maker's Mark – Red Cap Bourbon (70cl, 45%)

Maker's Mark Red Cap is a Kentucky bourbon bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle. It is made with soft red winter wheat in place of the usual rye. Each barrel is turned by hand and the bourbon is matured until it tastes ready, not for a set time. Every bottle is still dipped by hand in red wax at the distillery in Loretto, Kentucky. Margie Samuels designed the bottle shape, the label and the name. The nose is sweet oak, vanilla, light fruit and wheat. The palate is sweet, with oak, vanilla and fruity notes in balance. The finish is soft and creamy, with gentle spice.
