Maker's Mark – Wood Finishing Series 2021 Limited Release FAE-02 Kentucky Straight Bourbon (75cl, 54.5%)

Maker's Mark Wood Finishing Series 2021 Limited Release FAE-02 is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Loretto, the autumn companion to that year's FAE-01. It is made from fully matured cask strength Maker's Mark on a wheated mash bill of 70 percent corn, 16 percent red winter wheat and 14 percent malted barley. The bourbon was finished in barrels fitted with ten virgin French oak staves, heat treated first with infrared and then flame toasted, and rested in the distillery's limestone cellar. It is bottled non-chill-filtered at 109.1 proof (54.55%) in a 750ml bottle. The nose is French oak, buttery oak, banana bread and light burnt caramel. The palate is full bodied, with root beer barrel candy over a creamy texture, leading to a rich, creamy finish.
