A Mannochmore single malt released by independent bottler Tri Carragh at 55.6%, in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in April 2014 and has aged for over 12 years, including a 15-month finish in a second-fill Tawny Port barrique. The outturn is 280 bottles.
The nose combines ripe strawberries, baked apples and peach nectar with white chocolate, mango and banana, over a gentle floral note, honeycomb and soft vanilla.
On the palate, orchard fruits move to poached pears, stone fruits and red berry compote, with cinnamon-spiced red wine, dried fruits and a touch of cocoa from the port. The finish carries red berries, gentle spice and a hint of burnt Demerara sugar.
