This is a Mannochmore single malt distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2024 for Wilson & Morgan's Barrel Selection. It is bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle and is non-chill filtered.
The whisky spent more than 13 years in bourbon casks before a finishing period in sherry casks. Mannochmore is a Speyside distillery, established in 1971.
The nose is sweet orchard fruit, vanilla cream and honey, followed by dried fruits, cinnamon and a little oak spice. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with malted barley, caramelised sugar, poached pears, raisins, warming spice and nutty notes. The finish is medium to long, with dried fruit, oak spice and sweetness held in check by gentle tannins.
