Mars Komagatake Limited Edition 2020 is a Japanese single malt from the Shinshu Mars distillery, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2020, after maturing in a combination of sherry casks and American white oak casks.
The nose has dried plums, honey and vanilla, with sweet orange and cocoa powder. The palate is sweet and fruity, with the sherry and white oak casks in balance, plus dark chocolate, dried fruit and a light spiciness. The finish is long and balanced, with a soft trace of oak and a gentle sweetness.
