Mars Maltage Cosmo is a blended malt from the Shinshu distillery, set in the Japanese Alps, bottled at 43% ABV. It is not a single malt. Cosmo combines Mars malt with Scottish single malts. The distillery was founded in 1985, lay dormant for some years and resumed production in 2011. Cosmo is described as markedly oxidative and extrovert, showing maturity while keeping the energy of a young whisky.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
