Mars Cosmo is a Japanese blended malt associated with the Shinshu Mars distillery in the mountains of Nagano prefecture. Its name honours Mount Kosumo, a local peak, and the distillery uses spring water naturally filtered through the Japanese mountains.
The nose brings vanilla, cherry, apple and pear. Candied orange, dark chocolate and toasted oak follow on the palate, alongside spice, honey and caramel. The finish is gentle, with plum and raisin.
