A Sicilian Marsala from Pellegrino, matured in oak barrels and bottled in a 75cl bottle. Its deep amber colour comes from that ageing, which also shapes the aromatic profile. On the nose there are nutmeg, candied fruit, honey and tobacco. The palate balances sweetness and acidity, with dates, dried apricot, vanilla and a light bitter note. It suits aged cheeses, dried-fruit desserts or as a meditative drink after a meal.
