Mary Dowling Toasted Double Oak is a wheated Kentucky bourbon from Rabbit Hole Distillery, bottled at 53.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The mashbill is 65% corn, 25% wheat and 10% malted barley. The bourbon matures in two new American oak barrels in turn: first one with a number 4 char that is toasted and charred, then a second with a number 1 char and heavy toast. The brand is named after Mary Dowling, who ran the Waterfill and Frazier Distillery in Kentucky during Prohibition. Nutmeg, cloves, wildflower honey and Spanish cedar lead the nose. The palate brings dark cherries, milk chocolate and roasted chestnuts, and the finish is long, with ground coffee, cayenne and charred oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
