Maschio da Monte is a Rosso Piceno DOC red wine from Santa Barbara, made for everyday drinking and informal occasions. It has a straightforward aromatic profile of ripe red fruit, light spice and a slightly herbaceous note. The palate is medium-bodied with soft tannins and balanced acidity, giving freshness. The finish is clean and not overly long. It pairs with cured meats, white meat, simple pasta sauces, medium-aged cheeses, pizza and home-style dishes. Serve at around 16-18 C in wide glasses.
