Santa Barbara Colleravara Sangiovese IGT

Colleravara is a Sangiovese IGT from Santa Barbara. It shows a medium-light ruby red colour. On the nose there are red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, floral hints of violet and a subtle spicy thread that fades towards earthy notes. The palate is fresh and savoury, with tannins present but measured, and an equilibrium aimed at everyday drinkability rather than power. It is a versatile wine for everyday dishes: cured meats, white meats, simple pasta sauces and soft cheeses. Serve at around 16-18 °C, and a brief rest can soften the edges. It suits informal dinners and shared moments.
