McHenry – Single Malt (50cl)

McHenry Single Malt is a Tasmanian single malt from the world's most southerly family-run distillery. It is made with natural Tasmanian spring water and is not chill-filtered. The whisky spends four years in ex-bourbon casks that previously held Maker's Mark, followed by a further year in ex-sherry or ex-port casks. The nose is very sweet at first, with woody American oak. Vanilla, dark chocolate and plum come through on the palate, and the finish is sweet and floral.
