Meikle Toir The Original is a 5 year old peated single malt. It is made with mainland peat from St. Fergus, which contributes a sweeter character than coastal peat would be expected to give.
On the nose there are baking spices, burnt honey and espresso, with hazelnuts, smoked almonds and butterscotch. The palate brings sweet peat, rich chocolate and heather honey, with cinnamon, ginger and oak-smoked sugar.
