Meikle Toir The Sherry One is a 5 year old single malt Scotch made with mainland peat from St. Fergus, giving a phenol level of 35 PPM.
A long fermentation of 160 hours produces a fruit-forward spirit, which is then aged in sherry oak.
The nose brings cedarwood, cigar box, butterscotch and mocha, with orange peel, honey and plum jam. On the palate there is dark chocolate, smoked honey and mocha, alongside figs, treacle, burnt sugar and puffs of peat smoke.
