Merlot Alta Valle della Greve IGT Piantonaia - Poggio Scalette

A red wine from Poggio Scalette, made from Merlot. It shows a ruby colour with violet hues. The nose brings ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, with light herbaceous and spicy notes. On the palate it is soft, with gentle tannins and freshness, leading to a pleasant, persistent finish. It is suited to red meat, light roasts, cured meats and medium-aged cheeses, as well as informal gatherings. Serve at cellar temperature; a brief decanting can open the aromas.
