Merlot IGT Pirro (13.5%)

A red wine from Tenuta Villa Rovere, made from Merlot grapes following traditional methods that respect the terroir of origin. It has an intense ruby red colour. The wine shows a solid yet harmonious structure, with soft tannins well balanced by lively freshness. The taste is enveloping, with an aromatic persistence that amplifies the olfactory sensations. Best served at around 18°C, it pairs well with red meat, game and aged cheeses, and is also enjoyable on its own. On the nose there are notes of ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, along with delicate spice nuances and a light touch of vanilla from wood ageing.
