Method & Madness Rye & Malt is an Irish whiskey, the first aged experimental distillate release from the Micro Distillery in Midleton. It is made from a mash bill of 60% rye and 40% malted barley, double distilled and matured in ex-bourbon casks. It is bottled at 46% and non-chill filtered.
The nose has lemon balm, floral lavender and clove spice. The palate brings white pepper, chili flakes and toasted wood. The finish carries fading fruits and lingering spice, with cereal malt and barley.
