Metté Eau de Vie Fraise des Bois (50cl)

An eau-de-vie of wild strawberries from Distillerie Metté in Ribeauvillé, Alsace. Small wild strawberries chosen for their aromatic intensity are fermented, then distilled slowly in copper stills and rested to keep the delicacy of the fruit. The nose is finely drawn, with freshly picked wild strawberry, red fruit and a subtle floral note. The palate is elegant and precise, the strawberry flavour developing gently with a balance of freshness and intensity. The finish is long and delicate, leaving a fruity trace. It comes in a 50cl bottle.
