Blossoming Sherried Auld Whisky is a single malt from Michel Couvreur, made in Burgundy, France. It is bottled at 45% and comes in a 70cl bottle.
The colour runs from deep mahogany to gold ochre, and the whisky leaves a viscous trace on the side of the glass. The profile is richly sherried, clean and plush.
The nose is mildly prickly, with pancake, dilute maple syrup and mocha. The palate enters lightly and opens into that plush, sherried character, with the intensity easing back a little as it develops.
