Milam & Greene Port Cask Finish Straight Rye Whiskey

Milam & Greene Port Cask Finish is a straight rye whiskey. The rye is distilled in Indiana, then brought to Texas, where it is batched in the producer's warehouse and finished in used Port wine casks. The Texan sun affects how quickly and how strongly the casks give up their flavour, so some take longer than others. The team tastes the whiskey regularly during the finish until the flavours are right. The casks are then batched together, tested and proofed before bottling.
