This is a 25 year old Highland single malt from Millburn, distilled in 1975 and bottled in 2001 at a cask strength of 61.9% ABV. It comes from the Rare Malts Selection, a series of single malts from working and closed distilleries that Diageo released between 1995 and 2005. The nose is raw, smoky, meaty and grassy, with mustard seed, ham and wet chalk. With water it turns waxy, with fir honey, vanilla pods and pollen. The palate is punchy and fruity, with tinned pineapple, orange and a slight waxiness, and water brings more sweetness, spice and salt. The finish is long, peppery and spicy, with a little resin.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
