This is a 10-year-old Miltonduff, a Speyside single malt bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle by Gordon & MacPhail. It belongs to the company's Discovery Range, introduced in 2018 as a way into its portfolio. The range is colour-coded by cask type, and the purple packaging on this bottle marks sherry cask maturation. On the nose there is dry sherry with stewed raisin, roasted hazelnut and a fresh citrus edge. The palate brings creamy milk chocolate and orange zest, followed by spiced stewed fruits. The finish is fruity, with lingering citrus.
