This Miltonduff is a 13 year old Speyside single malt, distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2024 by Duncan Taylor as a Germany Exclusive. It is a single cask release in the Octave series, with 90 bottles at 54.3% in 70cl. After maturation it received a nine-month finish in a sherry octave, a small cask format that strengthens the influence of the wood. It is bottled without chill-filtration or added colour.
The nose brings punch-like fruit, chocolate-covered orange, raisins and violets. On the palate, sweet figs and stewed apple meet dark chocolate and fresh red pepper, with green tea and honey in the background. The finish is long and warming, with dried fruit, floral notes and a light herbal touch.
