This is a 17-year-old Miltonduff, a Speyside single malt distilled in 2007 and bottled by James Eadie in 2024 from a single cask. It spent 22 months finishing in a refill European oak Oloroso sherry hogshead. The 199 bottles were filled at a cask strength of 57%, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
The nose combines honey and ripe cherries with soft malt and a little vanilla, along with cherry blossom and dried tropical fruit. On the palate come juicy apricots and dark blackberries, with candied lime peel, cinnamon and a touch of rosewater. The finish is medium in length and creamy, with mocha and roasted almonds.
