Miltonduff – 2011-2023 12 Year Old Duncan Taylor Octave Cask 8338794 (70cl, 52.7%)

This is a Speyside single malt from Miltonduff, distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2023 at 12 years old by Duncan Taylor for their Octave Cask series. It is bottled at its natural strength of 52.7%, without colouring or chill filtration, in a 70cl bottle. Octave casks are made by re-coopering a large 500L sherry butt into eight much smaller casks. The greater surface area relative to volume means the spirit interacts with the wood more quickly. This Miltonduff spent four months in Octave cask 8338794 and took on a deep golden hue.
