A 13 year old Speyside single malt from Miltonduff, distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2024 from a single cask for Duncan Taylor's Octave series. After its first maturation in oak it spent nine months in a small ex-sherry octave.
It is bottled at cask strength, 54.8%, in a 70cl bottle, without added colour or chill-filtration. The outturn is 89 bottles.
The nose offers sweet lemon cake with plenty of icing, blossom honey and dark oak, with prunes and tobacco behind. On the palate are rum-soaked raisins, orange blossom, stewed apple, whipped cream, warm raspberries and oak spice. The finish is long, with sherried fruit and fine oak spice.
