Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 40%)

Monkey Shoulder is a blended malt Scotch whisky from William Grant & Sons, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is a triple malt, bringing together single malts from three Speyside distilleries, all matured in ex-bourbon casks. The name nods to an old distillers' term for the shoulder strain maltmen got from turning barley by hand. It was made to be enjoyed neat, over ice or in cocktails. The nose offers zesty orange, mellow vanilla and honeyed barley. The palate is sweet malt, creamy toffee and subtle spice with a citrus brightness, and the finish is medium and warming, with vanilla and oak sweetness.
