Monkey Shoulder Smokey Monkey (70cl, 40%)

Smokey Monkey is a peaty variation on the Monkey Shoulder blended malt, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It keeps the qualities that suit cocktails and mixed drinks, with soft peaty hints running through it. A Penicillin cocktail or a serve with ginger ale are both suggested. The nose has honeydew melon, flamed orange peel and a touch of Frazzles. On the palate vanilla sits at the core, its earthy notes supported by peat, and the fruit remains. The finish recalls Toffee Crisp bars, with the last wafts of drying smoke.
