Montecucco Rosso DOC Riserva Risveglio 2020 - Colliforti

A red wine from Montecucco, produced by Colliforti from a vineyard at 245 metres altitude with south-west exposure. The volcanic soil, rich in sandstone, marl and calcareous clay, gives the wine a marked mineral imprint, freshness and depth. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected. The 2020 vintage was made during the estate's organic conversion, now fully certified organic. It ages for about two years in French oak barriques, followed by at least twelve months in bottle. The result is an intense, complex wine with aromatic richness, great structure and a long, harmonious finish. It suits red meats, game, braised dishes and aged cheeses.
