Montedolce Etna Rosso DOC Roccianera

A red wine from Montedolce, grown on the volcanic soils of Etna in Sicily. It is made mainly from Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio, native varieties of the area. Deep ruby red with garnet reflections, it shows ripe red fruit, sweet spices, tobacco and chocolate notes from months in oak barrels. Structured and balanced, with lively acidity and soft tannins, it has a persistent finish with spicy and fruity notes. It suits red meat, game and aged cheeses, and can be enjoyed now or rested in the cellar.
