A Montepulciano from the Marche, made from grapes grown at 200 to 300 metres above sea level on mainly clay soils.
The vines have an average age of 35 years and a south to south-west exposure. Harvest is manual in the first decade of October, followed by spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts for 15 to 20 days. The wine is aged for 20 days before bottling.
It is an intense ruby red with bright reflections. The bouquet recalls ripe fruit, sweet spices such as vanilla, carob, tobacco and china. On the palate it is lively, enveloping and dynamic, with well-integrated tannins.
