Morris Port Barrels is an Australian single malt from Morris of Rutherglen, bottled at 47.5% in a 70cl bottle with no added colouring. The family firm has made fortified wines for six generations and has distilled whisky since 2016.
The malt is made in Rutherglen, in north-east Victoria, from locally sourced barley and water from the Snowy Mountains. It matured in French and American oak wine casks, then in barrels that held the house's port-style fortified wine.
The notes describe ripe stone fruit and berries alongside dark chocolate.
