Mosgaard Palo Cortado Cask is an organic Danish single malt, made from organically grown Danish barley malt and bottled at 53% in a 50cl bottle. After an extra long fermentation, it is distilled twice, slowly, in a purpose-built copper pot still. The new spirit already shows Mosgaard's malt, peach and apple notes. It then matured in a purpose-built toasted American oak cask that previously held Palo Cortado sherry. The finished whisky is described as having caramel, spiced malt, bitter oranges, plums, green apples, marzipan and citrus.
