Mulassano Vermouth Rosso (75cl)

Mulassano Rosso is a red vermouth from Turin, made to a recipe that dates from the early 1900s and has been kept secret ever since. It has a bright ruby colour. The botanicals include wormwood, marjoram, thyme and cinnamon, alongside orange peel and lemon. It suits being served cold as an aperitif, or as an ingredient in a Negroni or an Americano. The nose is herbal and spiced with light citrus. On the palate the moderate sweetness is balanced by freshness and a typical vermouth bitterness, and the finish is long, warming and pleasantly bitter.
