Nagahama – Amahagan Edition Peated World Malt (70cl, 47%)

Edition Peated is a Japanese blended malt in the Nagahama Amahagan World Malt series. It combines Nagahama malt whisky with smoky malt whiskies from other regions, then matures further in bourbon casks. It is bottled at 47% in a 70cl bottle. Nagahama opened in 2016 and has worked with other distilleries to widen its blending. This edition won a silver medal in the Best International Blended Malt category at the 2022 WWA. The nose is medium smoky with hints of green apple. The palate is light and airy, with sweet grapefruit and a touch of acidity, and the finish brings subtle mint.
