The seventh batch from the Nagahama distillery in Japan is a single malt bottled at 50% in a 50cl bottle, with 4000 bottles released. The spirit was distilled between 2019 and 2022 and vatted from several casks.
Red wine and Sauternes casks form the core, with bourbon casks adding depth and heavily peated Islay quarter casks giving an edge.
The nose is ripe berries, honey and apricot. The palate is velvety, with stewed fruit and chocolate, a hint of white pepper and some smoke.
