Nagahama – The Third Batch (3rd Release) (50cl, 50%)

Nagahama The Third Batch is a Japanese single malt from Nagahama Distillery, which has been operating since 2016. It was bottled at 50% ABV in a 50cl bottle, using spirit aged for three to four years. The whisky was matured in a combination of Mizunara oak, Islay quarter casks, bourbon casks and casks that previously held Koval whisky. It is the third release in the distillery's single malt line, which began in 2022 with The First Batch. The nose brings fresh malt, raisins, dried apricot, persimmon and chocolate cookie, with a moderate smokiness. The palate is smooth, with honey sweetness and malt, and the finish carries peaty, smoky notes.
