Nagahama – x Armorik Inazuma Synergy Blend Japanese Style (50cl, 50%)

A Japanese-style blended whisky made as a collaboration between Nagahama Distillery in Japan and Armorik in France. Armorik supplied a non-peated whisky made from organic barley, and Nagahama added several casks of peated whisky. It is bottled at 50% ABV in a 50cl bottle. Nagahama's master blender, Yusuke Yaku, blended this version, while Armorik's brand ambassador, Paul Klock, used the same whiskies in different proportions for a separate version. This Japanese Style release is limited to 1000 bottles and was matured in Mizunara casks. The nose is sweet, with citrus and oak reminiscent of Japanese incense. The palate brings wood and saffron, with a marked Mizunara influence. The long finish is woody with peaty notes.
