Naked Grouse is a blended malt Scotch whisky, introduced in its malt-only form in 2017 and bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It combines single malts including The Macallan, Highland Park, Glenturret and Glenrothes.
Before bottling, the blend receives at least six months of further maturation in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose is ripe red fruit, raisins and cooked apple with vanilla, caramel and gentle oak spice. The palate is smooth and sweet, with baked apple, cherries, dried fruit and fudge, then chocolate, vanilla and Oloroso richness. The finish is soft and warming, with dried fruit, chocolate and oak.
