Negroamaro Salento IGT Maru is a red wine from Castello Monaci, made from Negroamaro grown in Salento, in the heart of Puglia. It is offered in a 375ml bottle. The wine shows an intense ruby red colour with violet reflections. On the nose it gives ripe red fruit, plums and blackberries, with spice, chocolate and a light balsamic note. On the palate it is balanced, with well-integrated tannins and lively acidity, leading to a long, persistent finish with fruity and spicy notes and a warm, rounded feel. It suits red meat, game and aged cheeses, as well as typical Puglian dishes.
