Nelcius is a five-year-old French single malt made at Château Laujac in the Médoc by René-Philippe Duboscq. It is distilled twice from 100% French-grown malted barley in Carle-style stills.
The whisky is aged in French oak, then finished in former AOC Médoc Cabernet Sauvignon wine barrels. It is bottled at 45% ABV in a 700ml bottle.
The nose has butter, warm butter cookie, baking spices, soft vanilla and caramel. The palate is light but structured, with orange caramel, cocoa and a touch of toast. The finish is long and slightly tangy, with a gentle heat.
