Black Brier is a bourbon from the Nelson Brothers Cask Finish Series. Before bottling, well-aged Nelson Brothers whiskey is poured into casks that previously held Imperial Stout ale from Blackstone Brewing Company.
The series pairs long-established standards with newer ideas, and here the stout casks are what set the bourbon apart, adding their own fragrance and flavour to the whiskey.
